Pointillist-style watercolour of a whisky decanter and tumbler made from many small coloured dots that blend into a warm golden whisky tone from a distance.

A Quiet Gathering of Colour

I spent days building this piece dot by dot, returning to a slow pointillist technique I had set aside years ago. My instinct is naturally drawn to meticulous detail, but this method demands a different kind of quiet discipline. Much like the spirit resting in oak, the image only emerges if you give the pigment time to settle without rushing the outcome. - Watercolour - 10.5 x 14.8cm - 300g/m²
