Monochrome watercolour postcard depicting the exterior buildings and stacked casks of Bruichladdich distillery along the coast, painted entirely in shades of deep blue-green.

Is One Colour Enough (To Hold a Place)?

Painted for the Winsor & Newton Art Mail, this piece began as an inquiry into how we identify a distillery without words or logos. Rather than matching the familiar aqua paint exactly, I reached for Winsor Green (Blue Shade) to see whether a single hue could carry the full weight of Loch Indaal. - Watercolour - 14.8 x 10.5cm - 300g/m²
